We currently have an opening for a Systems Administrator to join our team working out of our Tampa Microwave office in Clearwater, Florida.   

 

Tampa Microwave is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Manpack & Fly Away satellite terminals designed and built for the expeditionary user community to guarantee communications connectivity in the most austere environments. Tampa Microwave primarily serves Federal and Department of Defense markets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support for both physical and virtualized environments running Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
  • Manage and support core Windows services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Deliver administration and user support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 user accounts, licensing, and security features (e.g., MFA, conditional access policies).
  • Accurately document work activities and resolutions within the designated ticketing system.
  • Participate in server provisioning, storage and backup management, virtual machine administration, and general systems troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain a comprehensive architectural plan for data center operations.
  • Enhance daily operational efficiency and accuracy through the implementation of automation tools and scripting.
  • Provide technical support for enterprise storage systems and backup infrastructure.
  • Oversee effective provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware and software.
  • Conduct research and propose innovative solutions for system administration challenges.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • 3–5 years of relevant IT experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 compliance, security features, and license management.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to end-user support and systems operations.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of storage solutions and enterprise data backup technologies.
  • Foundational understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications – Fluent in English.
  • Ability to produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values. 

 

Preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with Apple iOS and iPhone support.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational capabilities.

 

The annualized pay range for this role is $74,018.70 - $94,579.45 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 5%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above.  TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
