We are excited to announce that we have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for a Manager of Financial Compliance.  This role reports to the CFO, and will own the Financial Compliance Function.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert on FAR/CAS compliance for Thales Defense & Security, Inc.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies (e.g., DCAA, DCMA) concerning financial and related compliance audits
  • Prepare forward pricing rate proposal to serve as basis for indirect rates used in proposals; revise as required by changes in the business; support the rates in pre-award and post award audits
  • Ensure the accurate and timely submission of the annual incurred cost submission, meeting all regulatory requirements
  • Continuously review and update CAS disclosure statements, recommending updates to executive management and developing implementation plans for any required changes
  • Develop and implement compliance plans for DCAA/DCMA business systems reviews, to include accounting and estimating system audit
  • Work with relevant TDSI subject matter experts to develop and execute corrective action plans for audit findings, ensuring all identified deficiencies are resolved in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Provide oversight and guidance to staff, including reviewing work products, as needed
  • Advisor on bids/proposals and complex finance decisions
  • Manages internal controls, policies and procedures; responds to corporate parent inquiries as needed
  • Reports directly to the CFO; will interact with other members of the Finance/Accounting team

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business preferred, MBA a plus
  • 8-10 years plus of progressive Financial Compliance experience; mix of government contracting, public accounting and industry (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
  • Strong experience with government contract financial audits (DCAA/DCMA) and FAR/CAS
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills required
  • Self-starter, able to work independently or as part of a team; good presentation skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Access)
  • Experience with various ERP systems; SAP Finance a plus

 

The annualized pay range for this role is $144,900-$185,150 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 5%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above.  TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
