We currently have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for a DevOps/Linux Engineer.  This position reports to the IT Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system administration, and systems engineering for Linux-based systems.
  • Configure, install, and maintain Linux computer systems in a stand-alone and networked environment.
  • Lock down Linux computers in a mixed environment based upon classified security requirements.
  • Implements, Maintains, and Enhances, Linux and DevOps systems.
  • Support for all Development Engineering applications and systems.
  • Supports development activities in all phases of a Continuous Integration Platform.
  • Supports the maintenance of all operational activities related to DevOps systems.
  • Responsible for administering and maintaining our engineering development environment.
  • Utilize automation tools to configure and install server applications running on Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated by client or project teams.
  • Responsible for maintaining and supporting license servers and triads.

  • U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • 3 - 6+ years of job related IT experience. 
  • 4 year IT degree preferred.
  • Ability to participate in after hours and weekend support as required for special projects.
  • Strong knowledge in administering a Linux environment (RedHat Preferred).
  • Familiar with a Windows environment and supporting applications on them.
  • Experience with containerization.
  • Ability to install, patch, configure and troubleshoot Linux servers and workstations including associated peripherals.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.
  • Understanding of software development life-cycle and practices.
  • Experience Administering, maintaining, and upgrading the Atlassian tool Suite.
  • Experience with writing scripts to aid in automation of installation and configuration tasks.
  • Ability to work with source code management systems like GIT and SVN and communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Familiarity with operating within a virtualized environment.
  • Capability to work with other technical team members to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve technical problems; understand engagement objectives which includes a clear understanding of the client's business problem and how the engagement helps address the client's business problem.
  • Understanding of how to work in or with agile development teams.
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values. 

The annualized pay range for this role is $107,550-137,425 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 5%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above.  TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
