    We currently have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for Associate Networking Engineer.  This position reports to the IT Operations Manager.


    • Administer and maintain
      • Cisco Network infrastructure both LAN and WAN
      • Cisco VoIP Telephony systems
      • Wireless Solution
      • Mobile Phone infrastructure
      • MDM Solutions
      • NAC
      • Video Teleconference System
      • Load Balancer
    • Assist ensuring 24 x 7 operations and resolve service impacts as they occur both local and remote sites
    • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports
    • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services
    • Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
    • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records
    • Work with management team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.


    • U.S. Citizenship required
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred
    • Two year degree or a minimum of 1 years’ experience administering Cisco based networks
    • Minimum 1 years’ experience with the following applications/systems
      • Telephony administration – Cisco VoIP
      • Knowledge of MPLS, Internet, and SIP internet connections to both the internet and other remote sites.
      • Network Management tools
      • Network Troubleshooting tools such as sniffers and SNMP
    • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
    • Ability to periodically work nights and weekends as responsibilities require
    • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
    • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Able to travel up to 25% of the time domestically to TDSI sites.
    • Skills considered a plus but not required:
      • Network Security - encryption, IDS/IPS, SSL VPN, 2-factor authentication
      • Wireless networking and rogue access point detection technologies
      • Knowledge of both IPhone and Blackberry technology along with MDM products
      • Scripting - Perl, TCL, etc.
      • Citrix MDM Solution 
    • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers, servers, and related equipment
