    Our Clarksburg Maryland office seeks a PCB Designer.  This position reports to the Hardware & Support Director.  We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, passionate about their work, and versatile enough to address and complete Multi-Layer Printed Circuit Boards and Flex Circuit designs.


    • Design and development of complex detailed rigid, semi-rigid, and flexible printed circuits using CAD tools.
    • Take responsibility for PCB outline and layer setup; component placement and signal routing.
    • Interface with board fabrication vendor to ensure the understanding of critical design parameters, board stack-up and material requirements.
    • Create detailed electrical/mechanical layouts with the use of schematics with guidance from engineers.
    • Work directly with designers and engineers to prepare drawings from conceptual designs to final product documentation, as needed.
    • Generate fabrication drawings including mechanical parts, PWB documentations, assembly drawings and instructions, and all the necessary drawing views required.
    • Maintain engineering documentation files and incorporate Engineering changes received from designers and engineers.
    • Develop and research state of the art methodologies pertaining to the design and layout of PCB and Flex circuits.
    • Generate detail Fabrication drawings of the PCB design and associated Gerber files for factory use.
    • Demonstrate support for company values and vision and embrace TDSI Core Values.
    • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.


    • US Citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subjected to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
    • Experience in any of the following PCB design tools: Altium, Cadence Allegro, PADS, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics.
    • Direct experience with the Mentor Graphics PCB design suite is preferred.
    • Experience in PCB Librarian work related to the creation of component symbols and layout footprints.
    • Pocess strong interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills - oral, written and presentation.
    • The qualified PCB Designer will typically have 2+ years in the area of PCB computer aided design.
