    Our Aurora, IL office is seeking an Engineering Technician. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and versatile enough to respond to a range of hands-on engineering support requests. 


    • Debug, assembly, test, and rework of printed circuit board assemblies as directed by engineering staff
    • Debug, assembly, test, and rework of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies as directed by engineering staff
    • Perform light-duty mechanical assembly of Thales products per documented drawings
    • Perform engineering lab support to include: part ordering and inventory maintenance, lab equipment calibration and maintenance, and general lab maintenance
    • Perform prototype, integration, acceptance and qualification testing per approved test procedures and document results in test records
    • Support improvement programs for ease of assembly, manufacturability, and testability of Thales’ products.


    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Authorized to work in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
    • 3 years prior experience as an Electronics Technician
    • Ability to pass a surface-mount printed circuit board soldering test
    • Ability to pass a wire harness/cable assembly test
    • Working knowledge of electronics lab test equipment including: oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
    • Thorough knowledge of electronics assembly techniques and best practices
    • Knowledge of basic hand tools for mechanical assembly
    • Must be willing to occasionally work overtime and weekends.


    Qualifications Preferred: 

    • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related engineering technology discipline
    • Valid solder certification to IPC J-STD-001 or NASA-STD-8739.
