    Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is currently seeking an Associate Buyer to work at our Clarksburg, Maryland Campus for a fixed term of 60 days. This position reports to Manager of Production Control/Shipping and Receiving.


    • Organize and plan work orders to support internal and external demand
    • Track work order shortages and communicating with purchasing and manufacturing any shortfalls
    • Coordinate production flow with stockroom, procurement and manufacturing group when scheduling work orders.
    • Process pick batches for shipment of product

    • Communicate with all levels of the organization

    • Complete task and training as assigned by management
    • Follow TDSI manufacturing production flow
    • Understand TDSI systems and processes and grow in competency with PeopleSoft.
    • Must be able to uphold, support and educate employees on the Thales Code of Ethics and TUSA Compliance Policy.


    • US Citizenship or US Residency Required
    • 0 - 5 years of equivalent experience.
    • Must meet training and certificate requirements for the position of associate buyer.
    • Detail oriented and make good use their time.
    • Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
    • Able to work independently
    • A self-motivated work ethic
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive demeanor in order to interact with a variety of positions and levels within Thales as well as visitors
    • Ability to work in a fast pace, complex environment and effectively multi-task to meet demands
    • Excellent English verbal, written, and comprehension skills
