    We currently have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for an experienced Facilities Team Lead in our Facilities Department. This position will report to the Facilities Manager. The Team Lead is responsible for daily tasking of custodians along with ensuring that all of the custodial and facilities tasks are performed efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the day-to-day activities of custodial team.
    • Monitor to ensure custodian activities are performed according to TDSI quality standards.
    • Monitor to ensure custodian safety standards are observed. Report safety events/concerns to Facilities Operations Supervisor or Facilities Manager
    • Maintain inventory levels, cleaning equipment logs, and arrange for equipment repair or replacement when needed
    • Perform regular inspections for sanitation, order, safety and comfortable environment
    • Manage ticketing system and ensure prompt and timely service of each request
    • Ensure that teams are preforming to work instructions
    • Demonstrates support for company values and vision and embrace TDSI Core Values
    • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.
    • HSE: Under the direction of the Facility Manager;
      • Maintain all health and safety requirements of OSHA. (Postings, training, equipment certification, injury reporting, etc.)
      • Comply with all Federal, State, County and Corporate environmental reporting requirements.
      • Develop and maintain proactive maintenance schedules for facility equipment. (Compressors, HazMat shed, Man-lift, TDSI owned vehicles, Fire extinguishers, etc.)
      • Maintain TDSI’s SDS library.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include ensuring staff is performing to expectations, interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; preparing performance appraisals, rewarding and providing for employee discipline when required; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Active mentoring and development of staff is critical element of the supervisory responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    • US Citizenship
    • Cognitive and physical skills to perform the above duties in an office, manufacturing floor and warehouse environment.
    • Possess a general knowledge of OSHA requirements.
    • Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
    • Ability to push and pull work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
    • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
    • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)
    • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
    • Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces to perform duties.
    • Move up and down a ladder safely.
    • Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
    • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps.
    • Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
    • Work around or near engineering and manufacturing materials and products such as Isopropanol Alcohol, Adhesives, Solder, Fluxes, Epoxies, RTV, plastics, metals, batteries, wires, components, etc.
    • 5 years’ experience in custodial environment w/2 years in a senior custodial role
    • Excellent verbal and written communications – Fluent in English
