    Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is currently seeking a Materials Handler to work in our Clarksburg, Maryland Campus. This position has driving responsibilities and reports to Manager of Materials/Stockroom.

    Responsibilities

    • Must be able to understand company systems and processes and grows in competency with PeopleSoft.
    • Maintain accurate records, and make arithmetic calculations.
    • Perform complex and routine inventory maintenance work with speed and accuracy.
    • Perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
    • Work safely.
    • Understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
    • Performing transactions in MRP system
    • Cycle counting and making proper adjustments
    • Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced.
    • Ensures compliance with established internal control
    • Pulling material for kits and/or shipping
    • Picks up and delivers parts, equipment, and materials; loads/unloads materials.
    • Must be able to load delivery truck and deliver equipment and materials to site locations.
    • Must meet regular attendance requirements.
    • Must be able to maintain good interpersonal relationships with staff, co-workers, managers and citizens.
    • Follow TDSI workflow
    • Work in a TSA packaging and shipping environment.
    • Ensures delivery dates from our manufacturing facilities.
    • Coordinate with the Material handler, Production Control Planner, Stock room, QA, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure a consistent flow of product through the factory in support of all delivery schedules.
    • Preparing material provided to shipping for shipment on a daily basis.
    • Creating necessary labels for shipment
    • End of day duty would be to scan all shipments and email them out to a distribution list.
    • Demonstrates support for company values and vision and embrace core values.
    • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.

    Qualifications

    • US Citizenship or US Residency Required
    • High school diploma or GED required; one year of experience in inventory control, customer service, clerical, accounting or related field required.
    • Must possess and maintain an Maryland driver's license
    • Must have a safe driving record and be insurable to drive company truck
    • Must have experience with computers and the ability to work with numbers and to preform accurate detailed counts of materials.  
    • 2 years of equivalent experience in stockroom/warehouse environment
    • Knowledge of a MRP System (People Soft a plus).
    • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs /occasionally with assistance lift up to 75 lbs.
    • Detail oriented and make good use their time.
    • Knowledge and comprehension of the packaging guidelines for the shipment of Lithium Ion batteries
    • Excellent English verbal, written, and comprehension skills
    • Physical ability to stand, climb, load, drive, bend etc. to perform the responsibilities of position.
    • TSA Certified Preferred - ability to obtain required
    • Forklift Certified - ability to obtain required
