    We currently have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for an Associate Program Manager. This position reports directly to the Director of Program Management.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct project planning activities during all phases of the program.
    • Monitor, control and report status of assigned programs, including cost, schedule and technical performance.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with external and internal customers.
    • Review, analyze, and comment on System Engineering documents, Engineering test procedures, reports, etc., as required.
    • Review, analyze, and interpret the technical and administrative requirements contained in requests for proposal (RFP), requests for quotation (RFQ), requests for information (RFI), information for bid (IFB), etc., to generate material used in preparation of formal responses.
    • Ability to understand customer needs, act with agility and strive to improve processes.
    • Listens to and respects audience questions in order to understand needs; shares information appropriately.
    • Coordinate with customer to provide necessary program status and obtain customer feedback.
    • Ability to use Direct Labor Reports and Monthly PMO and Finance Reports to effectively and proactively manage programs. Proactively obtain and report on information regarding programs of responsibility versus waiting for someone else to provide the information.
    • Reconcile variance on programs of responsibility

    • Participates in periodic forecasting exercises, and annual MYB process as required by role/manager.

    • Is capable of self-driven or project-based work; can be given a problem and will come back with solutions/answers without constant oversight.

    • Must be able to uphold, support and educate employees on the Thales Code of Ethics.

    • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.

    Qualifications

    • Candidate MUST be U.S. citizen
    • Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Security Clearance
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
    • 2-4+ years Engineering or Project Management experience
    • PMP Certification preferred
    • PeopleSoft or Oracle financial systems preferred.
    • Excellent organizational skills and work ethic
    • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
    • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with employees in all departments and functions
    • Computer proficiency required and experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent
