We currently have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for an experienced Team Lead in Manufacturing Operations. This position will report to the Manager, of Manufacturing Operations. The team lead is responsible for one or more lines producing a diverse portfolio of products and is responsible for all phases of manufacturing including SMT assembly, circuit card test, final assembly, harness and cable assembly, battery assembly and all process development activities.
Monitors operational efficiencies, yields, and other data reports to guide labor efforts to meet or exceed standards.
Coordinate with Production Control on product flow to the work area to support daily/weekly deliveries.
Assess performance of work associates through daily feedback, quarterly assessments, and yearly performance appraisals. All assessments will be processed through Management team and HR.
Test all products and sub-assemblies across all product lines, program firmware.
Provides supervision for one or more production lines. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include ensuring staff is performing to expectations, interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; preparing performance appraisals, rewarding and providing for employee discipline when required; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Active mentoring and development of staff is critical element of the supervisory responsibilities.
