    Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, with basic Quality Inspection skills to work for the Air Traffic Management (ATM) business in Overland Park, Kansas. This position reports to Director of Operations and Program Management.

    Responsibilities

    • Receives and distributes incoming material
    • Does basic inspection of incoming material
    • Prepares material for outgoing shipments. Includes packing and preparation of shipping paperwork
    • Ensures delivery dates from our manufacturing facilities.
    • Coordinate LTL shipments using the best freight forwarder as well as all ground deliveries (FED EX, UPS, DHL, USPS) are met.
    • Coordinate with the Production Control Planner, Stock room, QA, Purchasing, Programs and Engineering to ensure a consistent flow of product through the factory in support of all delivery schedules.
    • Communicate with all levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrates support for company values and vision and embrace TDSI Core Values
    • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.

    Qualifications

    • US Citizenship or US Residency  Required
    • 2 years of equivalent experience.
    • Lift up to 75 lbs.
    • Familiar with all Mil-spec packaging requirements, especially Mil-Std 129, Mil-Std 130 and FAA Clause 61
    • Working computer skills knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel & shipping systems software.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications – Fluent in English
