Overview

The Vice President, Naval Programs will be based out of our Clarksburg, Maryland Headquarters.

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Within the Thales Defense & Security business line, lead major procurements, identify pursuits, and win significant Naval strategic captures.

 

  • Serve as the focal point for Thales global naval technologies/products entry into the US Defense market. These activities include assessing the US Naval opportunities and coordinating the pursuit with appropriate international Thales business entities.

 

  • Explore new naval market opportunities outside of the typical Thales Defense & Security, Inc. product/market focus (Tactical Communications). The purpose of this position is to broaden the Thales Defense & Security, Inc. business base.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess an active U.S. Security Clearance (at least SECRET) or one that can be promptly reinstated
  • Ability to foster team work across different functional areas and with other Thales entities.
  • 15 + years of Naval Combat System program experience including Program Office, Naval Warfare Center or Office of Naval Research/Naval Research Laboratory assignments.
  • Prefer previous Command Qualified officer with significant Surface Warfare experience
  • Experience in PEO LCS, PEO IWS, PEO Ships, PEO C4I or significant staff experience from N96, Surface Warfare Directorate, OPNAV
  • In-depth knowledge of US Naval Market
  • Qualified candidates must have excellent leadership, written and verbal communications skills.
