Overview

Thales Defense & Security, Inc. (TDSI) seeks an Information Technology Compliance Analyst in our Clarksburg Maryland Headquarters. We would like to add a great team member to work under minimal supervision to help TDSI comply with industry requirements such as FISMA, DFARS, various NIST Special Publications including 800-53/171, cyber and counter intelligence reporting, and other DoD/industry security requirements.



Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal IT security audits
  • Conduct compliance reviews
  • Ensures that the appropriate IT controls are considered throughout new system implementation and reviews documentation for new IT processes that impact compliance
  • Develops and maintains policies, processes and procedures for the governance of information technology systems, solutions, and assets
  • Provides control best practice recommendations based on result of audits/assessments and monitors remediation of deficient controls/weaknesses
  • Provide support for classified networks including completing training for NISPOM ISSM duties
  • Stay current with NIST 800-53, 800-171, various FISMA requirements, and industry best practices as required
  • Supports investigations

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of GRC tools
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools
  • Knowledge of Incident Response and Forensics
  • Manages IT and information security risk assessments and audits
  • Working knowledge Networking and Software Test processes
  • Working knowledge of classical compliance techniques and tools, including problem solving, corrective action systems and auditing
  • Ability to understand in-house developed systems and identify risks
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Broad knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies
  • Ability to define issues, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Experience working with auditors
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Occasional Night and weekend work as required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
